The classic pub game of luck and a little strategy is reimagined as PlayBook’d’s 10th release: a playable book that looks right at home on your shelf until you’re ready to play.

Design highlights

• Disguised as a book: Appears like a regular book on your bookshelf or table. Open the cover and the pages fold out into a beautiful, functional Shut the Box board.

• Fold-up dice: The dice print flat and fold into smooth, balanced cubes with clean faces. This fold-up approach produces a superior finish and consistent rolls—design inspired by Make Anything.

• Easy storage: Magnets in the covers keep the book closed so all pieces stay secure inside. When you’re done, simply shut the book and tuck it away.

How to play Shut the Box rules vary by group and play style, but the objective remains the same: shut as many numbered tiles as possible using dice rolls. Players take turns rolling the dice and covering numbers that sum to the roll. Continue until no valid moves remain; lower scores are better.
