Ludo
LUDO – The Classic Game, Now a Book!
The classic game of LUDO is now a book!
After a couple of iterations, I landed on a design that lets the colorful game pieces really stand out against the covers and pages while keeping everything neatly contained inside the book.
LUDO is simple to learn, but every turn can change the game. Race your pieces around the board, send your opponents back to start, and try to be the first player to bring all of your pieces safely home!
Disguised as a Book
This design blends right into your bookshelf, coffee table, or game shelf. But when you're ready to play, turn the page, open the book, and you're playing LUDO!
Easy Storage
No bulky game box. No loose pieces scattered everywhere.
The covers hold together with magnets, keeping everything secure inside when the game is closed. The game pieces store neatly inside the book, making it easy to pack away, display, or take with you.
How to Play
Each player chooses a color and takes the matching pieces, placing them in their starting area.
Players take turns rolling the die.
Roll a 6 to move one of your pieces out of start and onto the board.
Move your pieces around the track toward your home lane.
If you land on a space occupied by an opponent's piece, that piece is sent back to their start.
If you land on a space occupied by your own piece, you form a blockade. While the blockade remains, opponent pieces cannot move through it.
Once a piece completes the full path around the board, it enters the home lane. You must roll the exact number needed to move your piece into home. For example, if you are three spaces away, you need to roll a 3.
The first player to get all of their pieces home wins!
Ready to Play?
LUDO combines simple rules, colorful pieces, and plenty of strategy in a compact game that looks just as good sitting on your shelf as it does on your table.
Open the book. Roll the die. Race home!
