The classic game of Backgammon is now part of the PlayBook’d series!
Backgammon was one of the most requested games to add to the collection. I’ll be honest—I hadn’t even played Backgammon before I started designing this book, so there was definitely a lot to learn. But after plenty of designing, testing, and figuring things out, it’s finally done!
This is the fourth game in the PlayBook’d series—board games that transform into books so they look great sitting on your shelf.
📖 Disguised as a Book
When it’s sitting on your shelf, it looks like an ordinary book. But when you’re ready to play, open the cover and it unfolds to reveal a beautiful Backgammon board!
🎲 Fold-Up Dice
The dice are designed to print flat and then fold up into finished dice. This gives them a super smooth finish on all sides while keeping them balanced.
The folding dice design was inspired by Make Anything, with permission to use it in this project. Be sure to check out his awesome designs!
🥤 Fuzzy Dice Cups
Bambu Studio recently added the ability to paint fuzzy skin onto models, so I used it on the inside of the dice cups to give them a felt-like appearance. I think they turned out really cool!
🧩 Easy Storage
When you’re finished playing, everything packs neatly back into the book. Magnets keep the covers securely closed and all the pieces stored safely inside.
Just open the book to play, and close it back up when you’re done.
Play it. Store it. Put it right back on the shelf.
